There could be many times when you forgets to pay your MTNL bill on time. This is the same thing happens to me most of the time. But the question is” What’s wrong if I pay the bill after the due date?“. The answer is “Nothing Wrong” but then you have to pay some extra if you pay bill after due date cos MTNL impose some surcharge if user pays after the due date.
So you have two ways to prevent the extra charge after due date:
- Pay bill on time.
- Trick Bill alert so that it could remove the extra payment from your bill.
Here I’ll tell you how to hack/bypass/trick bill alert to change your bill amount and to remove the surcharge from the payment, if paying bill after bill date.

So, lets start the process:
Open your browser and type http://billalert.mtnl.net.in/ .
Click on “Pay Landline through Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking option”. You will be redirected to a Login page.
In this step bill alert will ask you for your Telephone number, Consumer or subscriber number and email id, email id is required so that after payment they can mail you the receipt.
Enter your asked credentials and click on submit button.
You can check your unpaid bills, latest bills. but right now we are only interested in Unpaid Bills/New bills/Pending Bills.
So our trick starts from here, you can see that we have a Link “Pay” on right side, just “Right click ” on it and Select option “Copy Link Location”.
The link that you have copied will look like this:
If you see closely you’ll find “telno= (this is users telephone number)”, “subsno= (users subscriber number)”, “surchrg= (surcharge imposed to the user if user is paying bill after due date)”, “PGWPrcnt= (some kind of percentage that gets added to your Bill amount)”
Paste the complete url on another tab and change the variable according to your need, below I am going to show you some examples.
If you see closely to the address bar you’ll see that all values are untouched now I’ll change the due date so that they will add surcharge to my bill
If you see closely in address bar now my due date has changed, I changed it to 3rd Aug 2013 and my bill date is 13th Aug 2013. Previously my due date was 3rd Sep 2013 and bill date was same. you will notice that when I changed the due date, it has automatically added surcharge to my bill.
So this shows that we can change the parameters and the value will get affected.
finally, I’ll Show you that you can pay even Rs. 10 as your bill.
Here we saw that how can we manipulate the data to change the amount that we need to pay to the company.
Again this is only for educational purpose, Try this on your own risk any damage will be considered into “Indian Cyber Law”.
